Hours are 3:00 p.m.- 11:30 p.m. Description of DutiesDESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES: a. Custodial Duties: (1) Keeps assigned areas neat and clean, including vacuuming, dusting, scrubbing, and reconditioning of all carpeted and hard surface floors; dusting and polishing and vacuuming of all furniture, doors, walls; washing of light fixtures and windows; dumping all waste containers and recycling containers and hauling same to proper disposal area. (2) Prepares work orders for repairs or adjustments as needed on equipment and fixtures in assigned areas. (3) Performs other job related duties as assigned, including snow removal, salting, etc. b. Responsible for following all federal, state, local, and departmental safety regulations. c. Attends required trainings as needed. d. Maintains satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record. DESCRIPTION OF OTHER DUTIES: a. Facilities & Grounds Duties: (1) Assist in all yard work. (2) Assist in facilities maintenance duties as assigned. (3) Assist in equipment maintenance as assigned. (4) Assist in snow removal using all related removal equipment b. Other Duties: (1) Reports all missing, damaged or broken College property to the Director of Facilities and/or to Public Safety. (2) May be directed to make assigned rounds to inspect buildings and equipment for deficiencies. (3) Will unlock and lock doors to assigned areas to perform custodial duties. (4) Will prepare College vans, cars and trucks for assigned use. Preparation may include filing fuel tank, checking oil, fluids, tires, lights, and cleaning. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.) a. High school diploma or recognized equivalent required. b. Six months of previous experience operating and maintaining machines inherent to the job (e.g. floor scrubber, buffer) recommended. Includes keeping machines cleaned. c. Six months of previous experience in similar work assignments desired. d. Ability to occasionally lift 50 pounds required. e. Ability to read, write, and understand directions written in English. f. Must be dependable and punctual in reporting to and leaving work. g. Ability to make decisions and implement them after they are made, and fulfill requirements to complete assignments. h. Ability to operate vehicles required to perform duties. i. Must be in physically capable of completing major responsibilities listed above. j.
