Richmond University Medical Center, a not-for-profit healthcare center providing comprehensive acute care, inpatient and outpatient behavioral health services to the Staten Island community, is seeking an experienced Facilities Management professional to join our leadership team. This position requires: Specialized advanced training and education in the use and function of various types of equipment and systems, a thorough knowledge of hospital mechanical systems and utilities management, including the proper operation of chillers, boilers, emergency generators, electrical switch gear, automatic transfer switch, pumps and air handling equipment.Demonstrated experience in the coordination of on-site construction activities and project management ensuring compliance with engineering principles, hospital standards, applicable contracts, and regulatory standards including The Joint Commission and Dept. of Health, Federal, State and Local Code.Demonstrated experience developing and managing multi-million dollar operational and capital budgets, ability to develop short and long term objectives and performance metrics to measure progress against the objectives in a multi-site facility.Requirements:- Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field preferred with a minimum of five (5) years experience as a Director for a comparable Hospital system. - Consideration may be given to candidates with a current, valid NYC Stationary Engineering license and equivalent experience. - Strong leadership experience with the ability to influence and effectively lead others through periods of transition and change. Highly organized with excellent communications skills.
