POSITION SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:To specify and manage the installation of capital equipment and facility projects including scope, budget, schedule, and commissioning.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Determining facility and equipment specifications.
- Manage schedule and budget for realizing equipment projects.
- Responsible for the commission of new equipment and hand off to production when operational.
- Specify and manage major modifications and/or new facility projects including scope, budget, schedule, and commissioning.
- Ensures compliance with all relevant codes, standards, permitting and environmental regulations.
- Analyzing project costs and preparing budgets.
- Evaluating operational systems and facility infrastructure to ascertain and improve operational efficiencies.
- Coordinating and overseeing contractors performing maintenance activities.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience as a facilities engineer or in a similar role.
- Experience with AutoCAD/Solidworks preferred.
- Knowledge of the building process and construction principles.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and building codes.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Project management certification preferred.
Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a professional office and manufacturing environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.Physical Demands

- Physically able to conduct inspections and carry equipment used for inspections
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; and stoop
- Regular, predictable attendance is required
Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday.Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.TravelSome travel will be required.
