**_Caterpillars Remanufacturing Division is looking for a Facilities Engineer for our Corinth, Mississippi facility._** This position will perform regular and simple maintenance and infrastructure support activities needed in a manufacturing plant.

**Responsibilities**

Performing or assisting in routine maintenance or construction work.

Monitoring and maintaining parts and tools inventory for infrastructure components and services.

Serving as first line of support for building service problems and work requests.

Assisting facility engineers and supporting manufacturing and other related departments.

Degree Requirement

Degree or equivalent experience desired

**_Construction Engineering and Technology: Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology to the construction industry; ability to apply principles, techniques, procedures and equipment for a specific branch of engineering to the design and production of various goods and services._**

Level Basic Understanding:

Describes main technologies and tools used in engineering and technology.

Identifies key concepts, features and methods of engineering and technology in construction.

Identifies key issues and engineering standards re engineering and technology.

Cites industry examples and principles of engineering and technology.

**_Engineering - MFG: Knowledge of processes, techniques and methods of engineering in a manufacturing environment; ability to design and implement materials, structures, machines, devices, systems and processes that safely realize a desired objective or invention._**

Level Working Knowledge:

Assists in problem resolution, drafting and writing specifications for engineering practices.

Works with basic, routine components of the engineering discipline in manufacturing.

Performs basic installation, maintenance and repairs for a specific engineering function.

Follows relevant standards, policies and practices in engineering operations.

Reports unusual engineering issues and considerations regarding manufacturing operations to senior staff.

**_Manufacturing Standards, Procedures and Policies: Knowledge of organizational standards, procedures and policies in manufacturing activities; ability to plan, guide, and monitor manufacturing processes for compliance._**

Level Working Knowledge:

Contributes to the development and implementation of specific manufacturing procedures.

Investigates the need to refer potential exceptions upward for review and approval.

Explains the rationale for procedures and standards in own area of responsibility.

Participates in the implementation of manufacturing standards and procedures to one's own function.

Provides feedback for improvement of procedures.

**_Plant Facilities Management: Knowledge of processes, methodologies and techniques used to manage plant facilities; ability to handle the full spectrum of activities for managing and maintaining physical facilities and infrastructure._**

Level Working Knowledge:

Performs the installation and maintenance of such items as plant's electric, air conditioning, telephone and cabling infrastructure.

Interprets facilities-related reports and explains record-keeping requirements.

Works with addressing basic physical requirements of a manufacturing plant.

Follows access and security control procedures and equipment.

Assesses potential security or safety risks and notifies appropriate team members.

**_Troubleshooting Technical Problems: Knowledge of troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques; ability to anticipate, detect and resolve technical problems in a manufacturing environment._**

Level Working Knowledge:

Documents common hardware, software and communications problems and likely resolutions.

Troubleshoots typical technical problems in a specific area.

Works with vendor-specific diagnostic guides, tools and utilities to discover application problems.

Adheres to standard troubleshooting procedures to ensure effectiveness of resolutions.

Participates in setting evaluation standards and criterion for troubleshooting.

**This position will primarily sit at the Corinth, MS facility with occasional travel to the Booneville, MS facility.**
