Job Description:

The Facilities Engineer oversees the operations, maintenance, and strategic development of our properties and all manufacturing equipment. Reporting directly to the Director of Engineering, this role is responsible for ensuring a safe, efficient, and well-maintained and controlled work environment that meets all legal requirements and health and safety standards. Using good data collection, analytics and evaluation, the Facilities engineer will make suggestions on what equipment, both infrastructure and manufacturing, should be upgraded, replaced or obsoleted. They will assist in the implementation of Industry 4.0 practices across the organization with close support from the entire corporate engineering team. This position requires a collaborative, highly practical, hands-on approach.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline required.

• 5+ years of experience in facilities engineering/management in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred, or an engineering background with a strong interest in transitioning to facilities management, with the potential to lead operations using an engineering-driven approach.

• Ability to leverage engineering principles in facility management, with a proactive mindset for addressing infrastructure and equipment challenges.

• Experience or strong interest in overseeing manufacturing equipment, including day-to-day operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.

• Ability to contribute to strategic capital investment decisions, including evaluating, selecting, and implementing new manufacturing equipment to align with company growth and Industry 4.0 initiatives.

• Experience or willingness to learn equipment lifecycle management, ensuring both current and future equipment meets operational needs and efficiency goals.

• Strong practical knowledge of building infrastructure systems, maintenance practices, and safety regulations

• Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a growth mindset to succeed in both engineering and facility management responsibilities.

• Excellent data analysis skills to lead the implementation of Industry 4.0 practices, including the use of smart technologies, data analytics, automation, and digitalization in manufacturing processes. Transforming the manufacturing landscape through the integration of advanced technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, and 3D printing.

• Familiarity with health and safety regulations and legal requirements in industrial or manufacturing environments.

• Strong project management skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects related to facility upgrades and equipment maintenance.

• Proficiency in and data analysis tools

• Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and safety teams, to achieve shared goals.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
