Performs tasks in facility maintenance to include but not limited to inspection, diagnosis, preventative maintenance, repair. replacement, and installation of facility equipment.2. Other trade work to include but not limited to plumbing, roofing, masonry, painting, and carpentry.3. Emergency call in for repairs and snow removal work may be required.4. Other appropriate duties as assigned by the Director of Facilities, Assistant Superintendent of Facilities, Crew Leader, and Maintenance Supervisor. Qualifications
High School Diploma/GEDFive (5) years of experience working in Building Facility Maintenance full-time. NOTE: May consider other training, Trade School, or other relevant work experience in place of the five year requirement.Basic skills and knowledge of facility mechanical systems including but not limited to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and fluid transfer systemsKnowledge of hydraulic systems or heavy duty vehicle lifts system repairs is a plus and may be taken into consideration.Basic skills in plumbing, carpentry, painting, masonry and snow plow / snow removalBasic knowledge working with a CMMS (computerized maintenance management system)Good written and organization skills to complete and maintain forms, lists and other documents.Basic computer skills: Outlook, Word, ExcelValid and current Commercial Vehicle Drivers License (CDL)A valid and current Connecticut Electrical Trade License. E-1 Preferred; (E-2 may be considered) with five (5) years of full-time experience working as a licensed tradesman. Other Trade Licenses will be considered: EX P-2, B-2, D-2, or higher with 5years of full time experience working as a licensed tradesman.
