We hope you'll come join our award-winning team today!What you'll do day to day:Learning Resources/Hand2mind is currently seeking a first shift facilities maintenance electrician who is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment. In this role, you are responsible for performing preventative maintenance, repairing equipment used in production such as conveyor lines, lighting, motors, air compressors, pallet jacks, and hydraulic systems, as well as repairing any facility infrastructure such as plumbing systems, HVAC systems, electrical systems, and racking systems. What we're looking for (Key Performance Objectives (KPOs)):
- Make routine inspections on key electrical services and equipment (24v, 120v, 240v, 480v) within first 60 days
- Meet with top vendors in first 45 day to understand process to coordinate maintenance and repairs
- Complete thermal inspection of panels and control cabinet to look for and predictive maintenance opportunities within first 12 months
- Support in the implementation of CMMS system in within 12 months
- Spec and install/relocate electrical feeds and equipment for various projects from production and engineering in Q1 2025
- Install conduits, wires, transformers, circuit breakers, and switches required in making additions, extensions, or alterations in electrical installations for power and light for buildings and structures as needed
Requirements/Preferences:
- Minimum 5 years of demonstrated electrical experience
- Understanding and familiarity with building codes and safety regulations related to electricity and electrical work
- Able to meet multiple, challenging deadlines and work within budgets
- Basic computer skills
- Excellent at solving problems creatively and/or knowing when to seek help
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid Illinois electrical license as required by the position. Possession of license preferred.
- Previous work experience in industrial electrical maintenance or electrical installation
- Able to effectively communicate with key stakeholders including colleagues, executive team, vendors, and customers
