General Description:The Facility Maintenance Helper is responsible for the lawn care and grounds maintenance work in accordance with the client and CCI specifications and standards. CCI Industrial Services provides quality-driven, cost-effective construction, maintenance, industrial cleaning, power generation, and transportation services to support resource development companies in Alaska and the lower 48 states. - Ensure a safe work environment.
- Comply with all guidelines, policies and procedures established by CCI while on shift, on call or attending training.
- Competent with plumbing, remodeling, and restoration tasks.
- Demonstrate professional skills and abilities equal to Certified Carpenter.
- Communicate daily status of current projects to Carpenter or Site Supervisor to ensure all projects are completed and within CCI standards.
- Maintain 100% Safety Standards and Accountability in all areas or mandatory/regulatory requirements.
- Compliance with required HSE training
- Taking necessary action when behaviors or conditions around you may be unsafe.
- Reporting and addressing all potential safety concerns/incidents/issues promptly.
- Facilitating or participating in CCI safety meetings, work safely and maintain a safe work environment as an employee and representative of CCI.
- Document and record any injury or near miss incident that may occur while you are working.
- Attend and participate in required meetings, training, exercises and drills.
- Dress code is professional commensurate with site practices where applicable.
- Hard-toe safety footwear is always required while working.
- Self-directed with minimal supervision.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to work well with others in an environment that includes harsh weather conditions.
- Ability to clearly speak, write, read, and understand the English language.
- Skilled in interpersonal communication with the ability to work closely in a small shop environment.
- Basic computer experience, including the ability to take online training, email and use Microsoft Word.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Valid Driver license
- SWLSC Safety Essentials
- 3 Years Work experience and background in facility and grounds maintenance

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works on-site at the grounds and facility where the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise in these work environments is usually moderate to very loud.
- Position may be working with potentially hazardous materials and waste.

- MOBILITY: Must be able to access all controls and all parts of machinery for service. Must be able to push/pull 100 pounds for 20 feet. Shoveling up to 20 lbs. Frequent walking and standing. Occasional keyboard use, sitting, bending, twisting, and reaching.
- HEARING: Must be able to hear audible safety alarms.
- VISUAL ACUITY: Must be adequate to perform above listed tasks in a safe manner and take hand signals from ground man or flag man.
- LIFTING: Must be able to routinely lift up to 70 pounds from floor to waist, 70 pounds from waist level to shoulder height and carry 50 pounds for 20 feet.
- RANGE OF MOTION: An objective range of motion measurement will be conducted and recorded using a five position and rapid exchange grip strength test during the pre-hire/post offer FCE.
