New Journey, a Genesis10 company, is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic Level 1 for a 3 month contract position with the potential for a contract extension or conversion.Compensation: $21.50 per hourThe Maintenance Mechanic Level 1 supports operation, inspection, and maintenance processes on assigned facilities. Assists others on operations and facilities team or third-party vendors in maintenance and repair efforts, as well as independently performing defined tasks. Performs inspections and repairs to assigned property interior and exterior areas, including walls, ceilings, flooring, installed fixtures, etc.Job Responsibilities: Perform all work with a strong customer service or servant heart mentality and presenceWork with others, clients, and vendors on accountPerform assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on as found conditions impacting satisfactory client occupancy and operations.General interior maintenance: Hang pictures, install keyboard trays, repair office furniture systems and repair doors.Assist the operations team in the maintenance and repair of building and equipment and/or as directedMoves office furniture, machinery, equipment and other materials as requestedUpdate work order status in real timeUtilize CMMS systems such as 360 Facility for all work performed.Escalating problems or issues to Customer and Manager in a timely mannerComplete Hazard Assessments as necessaryComply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas. Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them.Maintain compliance to State, County, or City Ordinances, Codes, or Laws.Comply with all policies for the safe storage, usage and disposal of hazardous materialsRecognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them.Maintain compliance to State, County, or City Ordinances, Codes, or LawsRequired Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED Years of relevant experience:Have a minimum of 1 year of applicable working experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, and basic electrical.The employee frequently is required to walk; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
