Position Title: Facilities Supervisor Reports To: Facilities Manager Employment Status: Year-Round; Full-time Job Summary: Brundage Mountain is excited to welcome a new year-round employee on our Base Area Operations team in the role of Facilities Supervisor. This role is meant to support the Facilities Manager and lead teams of seasonal employees to successfully maintain all Brundage facilities indoors and outdoors. We are looking for someone who will take a proactive approach to solving problems before they arise. Previous work experience in roles that include maintenance, construction, landscaping, cleaning and property management are preferred and applicants should bring their own unique set of skills to this position. Responsibilities:
- Direct supervision of a work shift, project or daily tasks for teams including snow removal, maintenance projects, parking management, cleaning/janitorial, landscaping
- Set expectations with facilities staff for maximizing guest experience and safety
- Present a proactive attitude toward safety for guests and employees, including active input to resort safety plans and training
- Drive a strong safety culture that strives for zero workplace injuries
- Ensure safety procedures are followed and understand compliance to regulatory requirements
- Facilitates plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry or painting projects to maintain good repair on buildings and facilities
- May be asked to interpret blueprints, provide cost estimates and keep a project within a specified budget
- May utilize grounds equipment such as snow removal equipment, loaders, forklifts
- Monitor operations of utility systems such as power, heating, ventilating, water, sewer
- Identify waste reduction and recycling opportunities and implement into resort operations
- Ensure cleanliness throughout all facilities including remote locations on the mountain or other Brundage owned properties including the Creekside RV Park, employee housing buildings and the McCall Activity Barn
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year experience in a supervisory or leadership role
- Must be able and willing to follow and enforce safety protocols
- Must be available to work flexible hours including mornings, holidays and weekends
- Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 pounds safely
- Strong organization and planning skills to create schedule and standards that are easy to understand and follow
- Strong ability to coach and train others
- Strong working knowledge or residential plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft office programs across PC's and mobile devices
- Clear communication both verbal and written with managers and subordinates
- Ski or Ride at an intermediate ability level to access all mountain facilities
- Willingness to work outside in all conditions/seasons
More about this position: This position includes both inside and outside work with a flexible schedule that may change throughout the year. Weekends will be required during seasonal operating times. The Facilities Supervisor will work with all other mountain departments and should be comfortable in a leadership role.
