The Facilities Maintenance Technician for Cytiva is responsible for supporting the preventive maintenance program by performing effective maintenance routines and repairs to prolong the useful life and optimize the efficiency of Facilities equipment.
This position is part of the Maintenance Department located in Logan and will be on-site. This will be Day Shift, Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM-2:30 PM, and is eligible for shift differential pay. At Cytiva, our vision is to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.
What you will do:
* Perform a full range of maintenance activities on buildings, all building-related equipment, and production equipment. Working conditions can include the facilities engineering shop environment, safety hazards such as welding, grinding, electrical work, high-pressure equipment, chemicals, dirty/toxic work areas, and noise. Required working extra hours and weekends as needed.
* Promote an environment of continuous improvement and innovation in line with lean thinking and maintenance best practices.
* Ensure that all activities are carried out in accordance with the company's Good Manufacturing Practices requirements. Comply with EHS regulations and policies.
Who you are:
* Possess a 1-year technical certificate with basic skills in mechanical, electronics, instrumentation, or related fields.
* Demonstrate proficiency in following standard operating procedures and performing general maintenance and facilities activities.
* Experience following work orders, including troubleshooting and repairing mechanical or electronic systems.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
* Relevant working knowledge of a regulated industry and GMP.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
* Ability to travel within four sites in the same city.
* Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
* Ability to lift, move, or carry equipment up to 50 lbs.
