Facilities Maintenance & Groundskeeper Job DescriptionReports to:Housing and Community Life CoordinatorJob Summary:The Facilities Maintenance & Groundskeepers is responsible for all facilities maintenance and grounds upkeep for the The Village and the Restorative Family Center. He/she will maintain the grounds while also addressing common maintenance issues across the aforementioned properties performing repairs and installations as well as managing maintenance volunteers and recommending and managing subcontractors for larger projects. Responsibilities:
Pray regularly for TRH familiesParticipate in weekly staff meetingsPerform routine and scheduled maintenance across all propertiesPerform repairs, installations of fixtures, appliances, and replacement of damaged systemsDiagnose problems with heat, cooling, electricity, and water systemsVet and hire competitive subcontractors for major projectsFlip apartments to make ready for new families within 2 weeks of move-outAssess damage and share with HCLC within 2-3 daysPaint entire apartment after resident's move outClean carpets and replace any damaged tilesPerform any needed repairs to apartmentHaul and move furniture as neededManage volunteer work groups and individual volunteers in maintenance and housing projects Check equipment and perform routine maintenance to ensure everything is in working orderRespond to resident repair requests within 24 hoursPerform light landscaping, lawn care and groundskeeping work for both properties as neededBe on-call to respond to emergency issuesMaintain a preferred vendor list in partnership with the HCLCAssist HCLC with annual housing and facilities maintenance budget Experience Requirements:
- 3 + year of maintenance and groundskeeping experience preferred
- Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems
- Skilled with a variety of hand and power tools, mowers and weed eaters
- Must pass background check
