The Facilities Maintenance Technician II performs general maintenance such as electrical, plumbing, carpentry, office furniture assemblies and heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) troubleshooting. The Facilities Maintenance Technician II repairs, installs, and removes equipment at company facilities and will travel daily between company facilities on the assigned campus.
As a Facilities Maintenance Technician II, you will be responsible for:
* Providing facilities maintenance support such as plumbing, carpentry, door hardware, office furniture assemblies, minor electrical, minor fabrication, and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) troubleshooting
* Providing solutions and operating independently on jobs that are assigned
* Advising and researching repair methods with team members
* Entering work order comments and timecards
To be considered as a Facilities Maintenance Technician II, you will need:
* High school diploma or equivalent
* 3 years of general maintenance experience or equivalent military experience
* Ability to solve practical problems and diagnose basic plumbing, electrical and equipment malfunctions (such as a tire machine or vehicle hoist)
* Valid driver's license
* Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measurement, including fractions
* Reliable transportation to travel between buildings
* Skilled in the use of power and hand tools
* Basic power and hand tools required, with tool list to be provided upon hire
* Basic computer skills and good communication skills
* Good driving record and reliable transportation
* Good verbal and written communication skills
A successful candidate may also have:
* HVAC troubleshooting experience
* Machine repair and troubleshooting experience
* Skilled in the use of a forklift and scissor lift
* Ability to work overtime as needed including weekends
