Job Type Full-timeDescriptionAs part of the Facilities team, this role maintains building operations and ensures that our sites are safe, cleanly, and functional. The Facilities Maintenance Technician II reports to the Director of Facilities.Essential Functions:
- Routine building maintenance such as snow removal, grounds maintenance, and janitorial functions;
- Repair facilities equipment such as lawn mowers, snow blowers, etc;
- Light plumbing repairs such as removing blockages, fixture replacement, addressing leaks;
- Light electrical repairs such as installing light fixtures, outlets, and switches;
- Complete carpentry projects which include installing cabinets, repair/replace trim, repair/replace stair treads, as well as other items as assigned;
- Ability to install various flooring which may include: ceramic tile, click and lock flooring systems, as well as glue down flooring;
- Complete preventative maintenance on HVAC and mechanical systems;
- Exterior and interior painting;
- Ensure work sites are maintained in a clean and safe condition as well as removing all tools, materials, and debris when a project is completed;
- Complete special projects as assigned;
- Address and/or report potential safety hazards as identified;
- Mentor and provide on the job training to Facilities Maintenance Technician I(s);
- On-call and emergency response as part of Victory's rotating coverage model.
Requirements:Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of two years' experience performing maintenance and facilities work, or completion of a satisfactory vocational program and relevant non-facilities experience
- The ability to lift 50+ pounds;
- Valid MA driver's license with a satisfactory driving record and access to a personal vehicle;
- Ability to act with flexibility and adaptability as well as a willingness to work with a diverse client population;
- Mission oriented mindset and an understanding that our work is often non-linear in order to meet the needs of our clients;
- Diligence to ensure that all jobs are completed in a high-quality and timely manner;
- Complete TB Assessment (may be obtained upon hire);
- CPR certified (may be obtained upon hire);
- At least three professional references: with 2 being from a supervisor.
