What You'll Be DoingHere's how you'll make a difference at Armstrong:
  • Refurbish areas as needed -carpentry, patching, painting, buildouts-remodel, wall covering removals.
  • Repair, maintain/monitor all equipment and amenities
  • Operate all components of the utility systems, knows location and function of controls and shut-off, knows all utility system failure procedures.
  • Change of filters for HVAC as required
  • Change light bulbs, interior and exterior, replacing or adding electrical fixtures as required
  • Repairs, adding or replacing of appliances
  • Restroom maintenance, replacement of all fixtures.
  • Restroom plumbing repairs, clogged drains, toilets, urinals, faucets, traps.
  • Roof repairs, gutters, downspouts.
  • May perform landscaping, grounds maintenance and other outdoor duties as assigned. May also perform shoveling/plowing of snow and remove ice during the winter season if needed.
  • Coordinate and order building supplies as needed, to include beverages, paper products toiletries, janitorial supplies light bulbs, plumbing repair items
  • Adheres to all facility and department work rules, policies, and procedures.
  • On call maintenance for all facilities emergencies, 24/7
  • Operation of Company provided Equipment and Tools
  • Maintain safe ingress of all entrances/exits used by employees/visitors.
  • Clear all interior/exterior debris
  • Keep floors clear from wet conditions due to spills, plumbing leaks, and or equipment failures.
  • Manage Vendor activity to ensure employee safety.
What We're Looking For
  • Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry
  • Ability for repetitive bending at waist, sitting, kneeling, climbing, walking, crouching as job may require
  • Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended amounts of time
  • Ability to operate various light machinery
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Must demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, customer service oriented
  • Must be organized, detail oriented, self-motivated, and able to multi-task
  • Ability to lift to up to 75 pounds at a time
  • Working in high noise levels requiring hearing protection
  • High School Diploma required
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
  • Must possess a positive and professional demeanor
  • Working in high noise levels requiring hearing protection
  • Working around lubricants, solvents, batteries, cleaning fluids, paints
