Job Summary In this role, the Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining high standards of facility operations. This role involves conducting regular inspections to identify safety issues and maintenance needs, performing basic to advanced maintenance tasks, as well as diagnosing and addressing facility issues. The technician also performs preventative maintenance and assists with the setup and breakdown of equipment. Collaboration with various departments and timely response to maintenance requests are key aspects of the job. Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular facility inspections to identify maintenance needs, safety issues, and necessary improvements, including checking lights, emergency lighting, and fire extinguishers.
  • Ensure the facilities are maintained to a high standard, complying fully with local/state codes and regulations.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs across various areas, including electrical systems, major appliances, emergency systems, flooring, hardware, masonry, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and mechanical components.
  • Coordinate and complete service requests and general maintenance tasks, consistent with company operating standards in a timely manner.
  • Respond to maintenance requests from other departments, ensuring timely follow-up.
  • Maintain an inventory of supplies and tools sufficient for providing the appropriate level of service.
  • Set up and break down furniture and equipment for meetings, special events, and rooms, collaborating with event staff and house management during shows.
  • Collaborate effectively in a team environment, demonstrating the ability to manage multiple tasks within defined time frames.
  • Assist with special projects and other assigned tasks as needed.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED, required
  • At least three years of maintenance experience in carpentry, plumbing, and electrical repairs.
  • Strong organizational, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge and use of handheld tools.
  • Analyze problems with facility/systems and consult with supervisor on solution.
  • Ability to communicate professionally.
  • Knowledge and practice of working in a safe manner
  • Stand, walk; reach with hands and arms; bend; stoop or kneel; crawl, climb, ascend and descend stairs and ladders; maintain equilibrium.
  • Regularly move about to access utility areas of our buildings.
  • Work requires ability to and lift and carry up to 50lbs.
Salary Information To the extent this position is performed in New York, the annual salary range for this role is $60,000 - $70,000. The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting.
