Please apply now for immediate consideration We are seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician responsible for general maintenance tasks, boiler operations, and end-of-shift security checks. This role involves maintaining a safe and clean work environment while ensuring proper operation of facility systems. Key Responsibilities: Perform general facility maintenance. Conduct painting tasks as needed. Perform boiler blow-downs, conductivity testing, and maintain records of boiler operations. Handle end-of-shift shutdown activities, such as shutting down compressors and securing building access points. Conduct monthly inspections of safety equipment, including spill carts, ladders, fire extinguishers, eye wash stations, and sprinkler systems. Manage inventory of janitorial supplies and replace expired light bulbs as needed. Operate the Abcor waste treatment system during discharge cycles. Maintain professionalism and problem-solving skills while interacting with site personnel, vendors, and customers, and respond appropriately to hazardous or urgent situations. Identify abnormal situations and take corrective action as needed. Ensure compliance with all safety guidelines and policies. Report any suspicious or hazardous conditions to a supervisor immediately. Qualifications: Strong mathematical skills, including the ability to perform basic arithmetic with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Outlook, Word, and Excel. Forklift certification. Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED required. 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in facilities maintenance or a related field.
