TNA is currently looking for Facility Maintenance Technicians with the ability to troubleshoot and maintain systems relating to the effective and efficient operation of the boiler room.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
* High school diploma or general education degree (GED); preferable two (2) year associate degree in maintenance technologies and 1-3 years of practical experience is required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Must be able to discuss specific examples of work experience prioritizing multiple tasks with limited resources while working with partial information in a stressful work environment.
* Classes, license and certifications required once in position: LOTO, forklift license, scissor lift license, FM Global Hot Work Permit System, and Red-Tag System.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Plant Fire Water and Wastewater Treatment Systems: Operate and perform minor maintenance of Plant Firewater System, PIV Inspections, and administer Red-Tag program. Operate and perform minor maintenance of curing pit sumps, Waste Oil Surge Tank, and Oil Water Separator (OWS). Perform calibration of pH and flow instrumentation for OWS.
* Steam, Feedwater, Deaerator, and Condensate Systems: Operate and perform minor maintenance of automatically fired boilers to generate steam to supply the plant high and low-pressure steam systems. Operate and perform minor maintenance of boiler feedwater system including water softener, deaerator, feedwater pumps, water chemistry testing and chemical feed.
* Compressed Air Systems: Operate and perform minor maintenance of air compressors for plant and transport air systems, refrigerant air dryers, desiccant air dryers, air receivers, mist eliminators, and IZ control system.
* Vacuum Systems: Operate and perform minor maintenance of Phase 1 vacuum pumps (4), Phase 4 vacuum pumps (6), vacuum receivers, and ancillary systems.
* Cooling Towers, Chillers, Tempered Water Systems: Operate and perform minor maintenance, understand process users and ancillary systems.
* HVAC Systems: Perform basic troubleshooting of plant HVAC equipment. Work with various operations supervisors to inform of repair status, track repair progress, work with HVAC Contractor to schedule and complete repairs.
* Perform additional duties as requested by Utilities Crew Leader or Utilities Supervisor.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The team member will be engaged in non-repetitive work from day-to-day. Attention will be required to meet new problems under varying conditions. Concentration can play a major role during normal activity; requires intermittent performance of manual labor involving the handling of parts and equipment in all weight/force classifications. Some bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing ladders and stairs, along with pushing and pulling, is required.
