The Building Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine and preventative maintenance tasks across all buildings and facilities within the ski area. This includes addressing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural issues to ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment for both guests and employees.Key Responsibilities:Conduct regular inspections of buildings to identify necessary repairs and maintenance needs.Perform routine maintenance tasks such as painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical repairs, HVAC system maintenance, and other general repair work.Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies, ensuring timely and effective resolutions.Ensure all maintenance work is performed according to safety standards and regulations.Collaborate with other departments to minimize disruption and maximize efficiency during maintenance activities.Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work, including completed tasks and inventory usage.Assist with snow removal duties as needed, including shoveling and operating snow blowers.Support seasonal facility changes such as setting up and breaking down temporary structures or decorations.Monitor building systems and report issues to the Facilities Manager for more extensive repairs or replacements.Uphold the ski area's commitment to providing excellent guest service by maintaining clean, orderly, and safe facilities. Requirements Passionate about Bogus Basin's Mission.High school diploma or equivalent. Technical or vocational training in building maintenance or related field is preferred.Minimum of 2 years of experience in building maintenance, construction, or a related field.Proficiency in basic carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.Knowledge of safety regulations and building codes.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions typical of a mountain environment.Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts as needed during the ski season.Ability to pass a driver background check.Preferred Skills:Certification in HVAC, electrical, or plumbing is a plus.Familiarity with ski resort operations or previous experience working in a resort environment.Experience operating small machinery and snow removal equipment.Work EnvironmentPossible exposure to hazardous chemicals and gases.Work in a variety of weather conditions.Exposure to high noise levels, fumes or particles, risk of electric shock.Personal AppearanceWhen in the public eye, your personal appearance is an important part of the product we offer our guests.
