Position Summary:

The City of St. Peters is seeking a highly skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician with a customer service-oriented mindset to join our dedicated team. This role involves working both independently and as part of a team to perform a wide range of maintenance tasks, including the diagnosis, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of various building systems such as HVAC, industrial refrigeration, automated building controls, boilers, plumbing, electrical, and general mechanical systems.

Normal Shift: 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Key Responsibilities:

* System Maintenance: Perform diagnosis, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of building systems including HVAC, refrigeration, controls, boilers, plumbing, and electrical systems.

* Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with specialty contractors, consultants, and vendors to ensure efficient maintenance operations and system functionality.

* Material Management: Obtain needed materials, parts, and supplies to ensure smooth maintenance operations.

* On-Call Duty: Participate in an on-call rotation, with one week of on-call duty every 7th week.

Minimum Requirements:

* Must be a US citizen or lawfully authorized alien worker.

* Motor Vehicle Operator's license valid in the state of Missouri.

* Associate Degree or vocational certification related to facility or building systems operation, maintenance and repair and one (1) year of work experience performing facility or building system operation, maintenance and repair, or any equivalent combination of education and experience.

* EPA Type II HVAC license valid in the state of Missouri, or obtain within in one (1) year of employment.

* Certified Pool Operators license valid in the state of Missouri, or obtain within in one (1) year of employment.

* Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. and occasionally lift and/or move more than 75 lbs.

* Ability to work in confined spaces and heights.
