Responsibilities:

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

The Facilities Maintenance Technician shall be responsible for non-power block facilities maintenance duties to include non-power block electrical, HVAC, plumbing and general facility maintenance. Additionally, the technician may perform general exterior maintenance, mowing and site snow removal.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

All successful Facilities Maintenance Technician candidates must possess the below qualification prerequisites prior to being hired externally or transferred from another internal workgroup. The Company agrees to meet and discuss and come to an agreement with Local 15 prior to any changes to the below prerequisites. The required prerequisites for entry into the Facilities Maintenance Technician are as follows:

  • High School diploma or GED;
  • Receive a passing score on the MASS test;
  • Receive a passing score on the NGET tests;
  • Ability to work back shifts & weekends;
  • Ability to gain unescorted nuclear plant access;
  • Have a Valid Drivers license;
  • Ability to work at heights;

AND at least 1 of the following 4 bullets:

  • Associates Degree in Power Plant Technology, Engineering Technology, Electronics or similar technical field

OR

  • Two or more years of trade or technical experience in Power Plant Technology or relevant field experience in an industrial setting

OR

  • Two years minimum equivalent facilities maintenance military experience (e.g., Machinist Mate).

OR

  • Certified Journeyperson or equivalent experience in a related field such as a Pipefitter, Boilermaker, Carpenter, Electrician, HVAC, Plumber or Millwright

Starting pay rate: $49.20/hr.
