These core values are the cornerstone for a newly-developed leadership program that empowers students to develop leadership skills, enabling them to go further in school and in life.We have an immediate need for two Full-Time Facilities / Maintenance Technicians. These positions eligible for our generous benefits and paid time off.Major Responsibilities:
  • Monitor building system operations and performance and possess several trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, heating and cooling.
  • Coordinate office/classroom moves or renovations to include assembling and moving furniture, painting, and repairs. Move or install athletic/weight room equipment.
  • Perform landscaping activities such as cutting grass, trimming, cleaning debris.
  • Conduct inspections of the grounds and equipment to ensure a safe environment and efficient operations.
  • Ensure grounds, lots, and fields are clean of trash and other debris. Maintain, wash and paint concrete on property. Clean picnic tables and repair as needed.
  • Prepare rooms or facilities for special meetings and campus events (set-up and breakdown).
  • Monitor performance of vendors such as custodial services,
  • Operate essential hand tools, electric tools and buildings and grounds equipment
  • Process maintenance ticketing system requests and updates.
  • Assists with coordination of any construction, landscaping or facility improvement projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.
RequirementsQualifications:
  • Record of providing strong customer service and related oral and written communication skills.
  • Skills and abilities in light plumbing, repair and preventative maintenance.
  • Ability to read and heed Material Safety Data Sheets.
  • Must be able to efficiently move around campus, handle tools and equipment, climb ladders and be physically able to stand, walk or carry for a full work day.
  • Knowledge of electricity, plumbing, HVAC codes, requirements, and ability to diagnose issues related issues.
  • Must have, or be eligible to obtain, CDL with P and S endorsements within 6 months of hire.
  • Knowledge of job site/workplace health and safety requirements.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in buildings maintenance and landscaping required.
  • Must be able to lift and carry at least 50lbs.
  • Must be 21 years of age.
