We offer dynamic career opportunities globally and are currently seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our client???s team in Savannah, Georgia.

Position Summary

As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to ensure the proper functioning and maintenance of facilities in Savannah, GA, with occasional travel to Charleston, SC, and Jacksonville, FL. You will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for employees and visitors.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Identify equipment and machines that need repairs and perform routine inspections of the premises.
  • Diagnose problems and determine necessary repairs.
  • Use blueprints or manuals to plan repair work.
  • Troubleshoot maintenance problems involving electrical, structural, plumbing, and equipment repair or replacement.
  • Carry out general repairs, such as fixing or replacing doors, windows, and locks, and maintaining and repairing HVAC systems.
  • Perform routine plumbing repairs such as unstopping toilets and sinks, fixing water leaks, and leaking faucets.
  • Assist with general cleaning and upkeep of the facilities.
  • Obtain supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance.
  • Load and unload equipment and tools into work vehicles if needed.
  • Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, including tasks performed, materials used, and costs incurred.
  • Perform carpentry work such as building shelves, repairing furniture, and installing fixtures.
  • Handle painting and plastering tasks to maintain a clean and aesthetically pleasing appearance.
  • Comply with all company safety regulations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Abilities
  • Solid knowledge of general maintenance techniques and equipment.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Good physical stamina and strength to handle manual tasks.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work on weekends or outside regular working hours for emergencies or special projects.
Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver???s license and clean driving record.
  • Must be able to obtain a TWIC Card.
  • Certification in a relevant trade or maintenance field (e.g., electrical, plumbing, HVAC) is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Prior experience in a similar maintenance role is preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods standing and walking.
  • Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
