Job Description The Facilities Maintenance Worker I will perform basic maintenance and repair work on university housing facilities, assisting with the completion of the room make-readies and completion of preventative maintenance work orders. They participate as a Department of Housing and Residential Life Facilities Maintenance team member in providing noteworthy customer service to students, staff, and guests. This position will report to a head maintenance worker. Job Duties
- Repair, replace, and maintain existing fixtures, equipment, and furniture.
- Identify necessary parts and maintain building inventory.
- Perform building inspections and complete preventative maintenance work orders.
- Assess, update, and promptly complete work orders assigned by the supervisor or crew leader.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills with residents, guests, and team members.
- Perform all physical aspects of assigned duties, including stooping, reaching, climbing, and lifting to 50 pounds.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
