Summary: The Facilities Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of our company's facilities and maintenance department by maintaining and repairing machinery, equipment, and other maintenance department items to maintain proper product functionality as well as cost-efficiency. Some aspects include repairs and Preventive Maintenance on all injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment, all building maintenances, and fabrication. This position requires the ability to troubleshoot electrical systems, hydraulic systems, PLCs, pumps, motors and oversee their repair.
Duties and Responsibilities include all the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Responsible for the planning, constructing, maintaining equipment, scheduling preventative maintenance, calibrations, record-keeping.
Responsible for managing vendors and suppliers as necessary in repair work and/or projects that need to be completed.
Scheduling of preventative maintenance activities, calibrations, and keeping records of repairs/corrections or replacements.
Maintain a personnel structure and staffing level to effectively and efficiently accomplish mission. Interviews and recommends applicants for hire
Managing plant vehicles to assure operational and safety protocols and building infrastructure.
Develop and maintain OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) metrics for the assets in support of the manufacturing process to assure availability, performance, and product quality. Identify and communicate any issues impacting OEE and work with the team to resolve the problem
Analyze problems concerning equipment or machinery throughout the plant and help determine solutions and actions to minimize or eliminate them within the department and work closely with the Production Manager.
Conducts safety inspections of work areas, examines tools/equipment, facilitates safety training to prevent, identifies and correct unsafe conditions, and violates safety procedures and rules.
Monitor progress on special assignments and daily requirements, interacting with workers accordingly to improve efficiency and participates in Lean Manufacturing practices
Generate all Facility related budgets and schedules for business operations & modifications, including estimates on equipment, labor, materials, and other related costs
Responsible for compliance with applicable Federal, State, and local health, safety, environmental, and fire ordinances. Maintain policies and ensure all maintenance personnel follow them closely during daily operations
Maintain inventory of critical parts and preventative maintenance line items, advising management of purchasing requirements
Review's location's facilities maintenance Key Performance Indicators KPIs (Daily, Weekly, and Monthly) and make recommendations for improving plant operations.

Qualifications:

Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, schematics and drawings, handbooks, specifications, equipment manuals, parts lists, and other written materials
Ability to install, troubleshoot, repair, modify and perform preventative maintenance on all hydraulic systems, electrical units, controls, components, and related wiring with adherence to all safety regulations.
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
Strong listening and communication skills are a must; the ability to gather information on issues from multiple sources or teams and communicate ideas and suggestions to multiple levels of staff
Industrial mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems operations knowledge and process resolutions with the ability to identify needed resources measurement skills
Highly organized and confident completing administrative tasks, excellent project management skills
Strong working knowledge of high production machinery and facilities
Education/Experience:
