Title: Facilities Manager

FLSA Status: Exempt

Reports To: Operations Manager

Secondary To: Director of Operations

Summary:

The Facilities Manager maintains and oversees a companys grounds, buildings and equipment to ensure that a workspace is safe and functional. Their duties include negotiating contracts with service providers, inspecting facilities to meet safety regulations and coordinating renovations and updates within company budgets.

Essential Duties:

  • Plan and coordinates all installations and refurbishments.
  • Maintains and updates the preventative maintenance program
  • Managing all vendor contracts.
  • Ensuring efficiency of all building systems.
  • Maintains adequate parts inventory and order items as necessary.
  • Coordinates site safety programs.
  • Maintaining a safe work environment for all employees
  • Ensuring all processes and compliance programs are met
  • Managing facilities planning and space allocation
  • Preparing cost estimates for moves and equipment
  • Coordinating with department heads and building contractors
  • Managing maintenance of grounds
  • Ensuring all utility systems are inspected and in accordance with regulations
  • Negotiating bids and contracts for third party workers
  • Coordinating building security and maintenance services
  • Managing and supervising all sanitation/facilities personnel
  • Overseeing all building functions.
  • Determine work procedures, preparing employee work schedules and expediting workflow.
  • Ensure that all employees are in compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations and other company related policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to communicate clearly, both written and orally, as to communicate with employees, and vendors.
  • Must be able to effectively read and interpret information, present numerical data in a resourceful manner, and skillfully gather and analyze information.
  • Must be able to prioritize and plan work activities as to use time efficiently.
  • Must be organized, accurate, thorough, and able to monitor work for quality.
  • Must be dependable, able to follow instructions, respond to management direction, and must be able to improve performance through management feedback.

Working Conditions

This position works in a manufacturing environment in a Manufacturing setting

Involves: long periods of sitting and/or standing

Compensation details: 95000-110000 Yearly Salary
