Annual Security Report Notice

The Facilities Manager/Sports Club Coordinator has the primary responsibility for care, maintenance, and upkeep of all University athletic fields and surrounding grounds. This position must work closely with the Assistant Athletic Director to insure the safe operation and overall maintenance of the athletic fields and surrounding areas. This position is responsible to oversee the physical set up and breakdown of the athletic facilities for all classes, intercollegiate events, varsity practices, intramural, and other special events. This position will direct, organize, supervise and evaluate all aspects of the club sport programs for students.
Position Duties
* Responsible for the day to day care, maintenance of athletic fields, and indoor facilities by conducting safety checks and daily monitoring of all athletic facilities.
* Must oversee and direct all facilities workers and coordinate with University physical plant department and outside contractors to include mowing, fertilization, aeration, rolling, seeding, and any other repairs/service as it relates to athletic facilities.
* Manage a diverse student Club Sport program involving a range of competitive, recreational, and instructional clubs with several hundred participants.
* Implement operating policies and procedures for use in the club sport program.
* Interpret and enforce such policies and procedures for adherence to University and department policies, procedures, and regulations.
* Develop effective working relationships with all club officers to assist them in the administration of individual club activities and successful compliance with campus, conference, and governing bodies' policies.
* Performs other such duties as may be assigned from time to time.
In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, this position has been designated as a Campus Security Authority (CSA). CSAs are individuals at the University who, because of their function at the University, have an obligation under the Clery Act to notify the University of alleged Clery Crimes that are reported to them in good faith, or alleged Clery Crimes that they may personally witness. CSAs will be required to complete training with respect to the Clery Act and the responsibilities of a CSA.

This position oversees student and part-time facility workers.
Position Qualifications
* Undergraduate degree required.
* At least two years of relevant experience.
* Moderate physical activity and nights and weekends required.
* Valid Drivers license.
Work Hours
Varies; schedule will vary depending upon the Intercollegiate schedule of athletic events as well as the operating schedules of the athletic facilities. Evening, weekend, and holiday work will be required from time to time.
