Title: Facilities Operations SpecialistLocation: Redmond with travel to various Hopelink sitesWork schedule: Full time, M-F 8am - 4pm, Mostly onsite during training with future hybrid schedule opportunities for occasional remote work. After hours emergency on-call rotation, approximately every 5 weeks.Who we are: Hopelink is the largest nonprofit in North and East King County. The career opportunity: The Facilities Operations Specialist assists the Facilities Director and Facilities Manager in all Hopelink building maintenance and repair administrative processes as well as acting as project manager of smaller tenant improvements and general projects. Helps manage contracts of services related to building maintenance.What qualities we are looking for:
  • 2+ years of broad facilities experience
  • Vender management experience and/or supervisory experience preferred
  • Experience with contract review
  • Highly organized and skilled in project management and process development
  • Excellent collaboration skills, team oriented, good communicator.
  • Must have a can do and will do attitude with strong follow through, be pro-active and willing to seek out new projects on own.
  • Able and willing to travel to multiple sites throughout King County; must have reliable personal transportation, valid driver's license and proof of personal liability insurance. (Mileage reimbursed)
  • Ability to answer after-hours calls when needed to assess urgent facility issues to help determine and implement an appropriate plan of action, including dispatching additional Maintenance Technicians
Examples of what you will be doing:
  • In collaboration with Facilities Director, research, analyze, negotiate, select and supervise a team of outside vendors when needed for TI and other small works projects; monitor and review work performance for quality, accuracy and completeness. Ensure all needed supplies are available to complete tasks expediently and within budget.
  • Meet with contracted vendors for a variety of repair services to offer on-site support and see repairs through to completion and done to contracted approval.
  • Work with team to oversee all preventative maintenance scheduling and track through to completion.
  • In conjunction with Facilities Director, research, analyze and create comparative vendor reports for yearly contracted services, renewals or renegotiations. Tour competing vendors as needed, pre-review proposals for analysis, prepare documents for signature.
  • Assist with overseeing Hopelink's work order management system: keep updated and accurate, build strategy to complete work orders in an efficient manager, produce reports.
  • Assist Facilities Director in on-site job oversight of Capital Projects when needed

  • Compensation: $32.20/hour - $33.65/hour
  • Up to 10 paid vacation and sick days annually and 10 paid holidays,
  • Plus up to 7 paid float days available to use immediately; dependent on hire date and hours/week
