Job Description:
Job Description Our client, a not-for-profit teaching hospital serving an ethnically diverse community in New York City, is hiring a Facilities Project Manager to join their team. The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and successful completion of projects related to the construction, renovation, and maintenance of facilities. This is a crucial role in ensuring that projects are on time and executed seamlessly from inception to completion. In this role you would be involved with both clinical and administrative staff to plan and implement facility-related projects. This includes involvement in the initial stages of project planning, where they work with stakeholders to develop the project's scope, objectives, and design, ensuring that all plans align with regulatory codes and compliance standards. Experience with client facing interactions with NYC Economic Development Corporation, OMH is a plus. Responsibilities:
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to define the project's scope, objectives, and deliverables. Developing comprehensive project plans that outline timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.
  • Managing and coordinating the activities of contractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure the project progresses according to the established plan. This includes scheduling work, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and liaising with other departments.
  • Overseeing the project budget, ensuring expenditures remain within approved limits, and managing financial risks. This involves tracking costs, approving expenditures, and adjusting budgets as necessary.
  • Ensuring that all work meets the required standards and specifications. Conducting regular inspections and addressing any issues or deviations from the project plan.
  • Providing regular updates to stakeholders through reports, meetings, and presentations. This includes communicating project progress, challenges, and any necessary adjustments to upper management or clients.
  • Identifying potential risks that could impact the project and developing strategies to mitigate them. This includes managing delays, cost overruns, and any unforeseen challenges that arise during the project lifecycle.
  • Conducting a thorough review upon project completion to assess outcomes, identify lessons learned, and ensure that all project objectives have been met.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
