JOB SUMMARY:
The Facilities Supervisor is responsible for ensuring Volunteers of America Chesapeake, Inc. compliance with applicable State and Federal laws relevant to property management. Ensure that Volunteers of America Chesapeake properties comply with safety regulations, codes, inspections, and upkeep standards. This position will monitor and assist programs regarding facility management, and safety best practices.
PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES:
* Supervises and coordinates the day-to-day maintenance and support of buildings, grounds, and facilities systems.
* Field liaison with property contractors and suppliers.
* Maintain VOA Chesapeake & Carolina's preferred vendors list.
* Track and maintain VOA Chesapeake & Carolina's property leases and assist with inspections.
* Manage property listings to include ensuring lease and contracts are up to date and notification to programs of any documentation that may be needed.
* Ensure that all properties have current certificates of occupancy.
* Overall management and supervision of Maintenance Technicians and Maintenance Specialists
* Overall management and supervision of Residential Reentry Center Janitor Interview and select, subject to review by immediate supervisor, facilities vendors for programs and administrative offices.
* Update on status and progress on a periodic basis. Assure that each vendor has been pre-approved for business ethics, diversity and equity, and insurance coverages.
* Coordinate, schedule and track maintenance request for the administrative office thru the operations helpdesk and work log
* Review and analyze incidents for trends and losses on an annual basis and work collaboratively with Risk Manager on mitigation plan.
* Responsible for scheduling Loss Control Representatives to Inspect Properties on an annual time frame and follow-up with program leaders in responding to the findings.
* Set-up and breakdown meetings scheduled in the Administrative Office Conference Rooms; Arrange for movers and storage units' management.
* Manage and track the How's my Driving programs .
* Track and maintain insurance and inquiries on VOA Chesapeake's vehicles in coordination with Risk Manager
* Responsible for facility and vehicle inspections on a periodic basis and compiling a list of repairs and maintenance through a work order system and maintain a status list.
* Inspect and keep administration offices and programs offices and exterior safe.
* Ensure that appropriate repairs are completed as needed.
* Participate on the Safety Awareness Team
* Monitor incident reports for facilities and provide reports to supervisor, risk manager and program directors.
* Complete other statistical and information reports as required or needed.
* Perform other duties as assigned.

* The ability to safely operate a motor vehicle to transport oneself and program supplies as necessary.
* The physical ability to travel to assigned locations, stand, stoop, bend, reach, pull, push, lift, grasp, climb, talk, see, hear and perform basic and light home maintenance activities, and operate office equipment.
* Move and lift light objects up to 30 pounds such as mail, supplies, files, and equipment.
* Operating office equipment requiring continuous or repetitive hand/arm movements.
* The ability to remain in a sitting position for extended periods of time.

Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:
* Must have two to four years of experience of relevant facilities management experience, with at least two years of safety management experience preferred.
* At least two years of business operations and/or process management experience is preferred.
* Also needed is a reasonable combination of the following skills and abilities: property management, and personnel supervision and management.
* Additional skills required are budget management, including excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
OTHER:
* This position requires driving your personal vehicle for company business. Must be privileged to drive according to the criteria set forth by Agency MVR guidelines.
* Valid driver's license in jurisdiction of residence
* Vehicle liability coverage if driving personal vehicle (on occasion, may be required to transport clients in personal vehicle)
* May be required to drive a van.
* Acceptable Criminal background check, OIG Exclusion check
* Negative urine Drug test and TB/Health Certificate Screening
* CPR/First Aid Certification must be acquired and maintained once employed
