Position Summary:

The warranty specialist is the liaison and primary point of contact between the customer and the manufacturer for all warranty-related issues and claims. This position is responsible for accurately creating, filing and managing the Warranty Claimsprocess. Will be responsible for managing our “core bank” of parts with various parts suppliers to ensure they have sufficient “cores” to cover future purchases/exchanges. Overall management of the core and warranty process to ensure cost effective operation and revenue generation for the department.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish relationships with Manufactures/Vendors for the purpose of
    • Entering into warranty service agreements
    • Managing warranty claims
    • Creating or maintaining “core” parts inventory, purchasing and credits.
  • Prepare and process warranty documentation according to manufacturer guidelines
  • Be the liaison for Field technicians, parts room and stores for all warranty claims
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Submit claims quickly and efficiently. Follow up with manufacturers to ensure claims are being processed properly.
  • Strong attention to detail, detailed documentation and tracking skills are vital traits to be successful in this position.
  • Other duties as directed by management.
  • Working Relationships: This team member will need to communicate with internal maintenance teams, store managers, and the warehouse team. May interact with facilities support, construction, IT, and other departments in the support of their projects throughout the company. As well as establish and maintain positive relationships with OEM and aftermarket equipment suppliers and manufacturers, supply vendors and remanufacturers.

    Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED

    Preferred Education: Applicable trade School or Training program. Manufacturer's equipment certifications

    Minimum Experience: 0-2 yrs. years service parts experience, including usage of computer inventory management system.

    Preferred Experience: 2-3 years service parts experience, including usage of computer inventory management system.

    Licenses/Certifications: Preferred - Forklift licenses (we will provide training and licensing)

    Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, ability to organize daily workload with minimal oversite.

    Other:

    Physical: Can lift 50 lbs Grasping/Griping/fine manipulation. Pushing/pulling/Bending/kneeling/twisting/climbing on a regular basis. Carrying/setting/walking/standing and lifting above shoulder level on a irregular basis.

    Hours & Conditions: 40 hours M-F.
