The Facilities Tech will serve as a key member of the maintenance team with a primary focus on maintaining, troubleshooting issues, and repairing of mechanical and electrical issues.SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot problems and replace or repair parts.
- Proactively perform regular preventative maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facilities.
- Collect, analyze, and summarize maintenance related information and trends to drive efficiencies, streamline processes and support business decisions.
- Assist in space changes and moves, as well as office furniture needs and ergonomics, including estimating costs, managing schedules, purchasing activities and installation.
RequirementsEducation and Training:
- Associates Degree or equivalent work experience in facilities maintenance
- Mechanical trade based experience
Knowledge and skills:
- Basic computer knowledge
- Advanced data analysis using Excel or similar program
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead
- Service oriented attitude
- Self-motivated
- Able to maintain focus on key objectives
Experience:
- Prior experience in facilities related position
- Able to read and understand complex electrical, mechanical and automation systems
- Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical and HVAC systems
Physical Requirements:
- Physical dexterity sufficient to use hands, arms and shoulders repetitively to operate a keyboard and other office equipment
- Ability to speak and hear well enough to communicate clearly and understandably with sufficient volume to ensure accurate exchange of information in normal conversational distance, over the phone and in group setting
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time (6 or more hours)
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Sufficient physical dexterity to walk, bend, stoop or squat
- Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the facilities
- Must be able to access all parts of the company equipment
- Ability to operate company vehicles as necessary
- Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions
