Job Description We are looking for a talented Facilities Technician - Electrician - Level III to join our team specializing in Facilities for our Cummins Inc. facility in Lakewood, NY. In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: Promoting Safety: By maintaining safe work habits and actions, you ensure a secure working environment and proactively address potential safety issues in all tasks. Adhering to Maintenance Schedules: Following manufacturer's recommended electrical preventative maintenance schedules and startup procedures helps in maintaining system reliability and efficiency. Diagnosing and Resolving Issues: Using electrical test equipment to diagnose and correct malfunctions ensures minimal downtime and operational continuity. Supporting Customer Needs: Utilizing your knowledge of plant electrical distribution to support customer needs and determining locations for additional equipment feeds enhances operational capacity. Efficient Work Management: Tracking, assigning, and prioritizing maintenance work using software ensures that reactive, planned, preventative, and predictive tasks are managed effectively. Coordinating Programs: Planning, scheduling, ordering, and tracking programs ensures that all maintenance activities are well-organized and executed smoothly. Cross-Functional Repairs and Training: Performing electrical repairs, troubleshooting, and training apprentices and other technicians fosters a collaborative and skilled workforce. Quality and Improvement Projects: Participating in quality procedures and leading electrical work in improvement projects ensures high standards and continuous enhancement of electrical systems. Develop and operate asset management systems for preventative maintenance, ensuring the facility runs smoothly and efficiently. Technical Skills: Troubleshoot, repair, and install electrical and HVAC systems. Your technical expertise will ensure the facility operates properly and meets production needs. Education, Licenses, Certifications: High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations. Experience: Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience. Qualifications
  • Qualified high voltage 13.8K/115K.
  • Non-routine work involving partially defined requirements involving intricate stakeholders and/or equipment.
  • Works with leadership and customers to define objectives while documenting process improvements.
  • Manages high workload and significant responsibilities.
  • Considered an expert in specific areas with a support network extending to other JEP or CMI teams.
  • Routinely takes on challenging and unique projects within discipline.
  • Continually seeks applicable skills advancement based on business needs, while applying it effectively.
