This position performs a wide range of facilities maintenance support to include but limited to, general carpentry, plumbing, mechanical, utilities, and project support.This position report directly to the Facilities Team Lead.RESPONSIBILITIES:ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Promotes a safety-first environment while following and enforcing all safety rules throughout the facility.Executes work in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulatory requirements involving food safety and GMPs.Executes assigned maintenance work orders including Preventative and Corrective Maintenance. Ensure all preventative and corrective maintenance services are communicated and documented in Blue Diamond's computer-managed maintenance system (CMMS)Supports project activities such as job walks, contractor check-ins, and reviewing safety documentation executed prior to start of work.Perform carpentry maintenance tasks that include but are not limited to patching, painting, hardware repairs and other repair/replacement work as required.Perform non-technical maintenance of plumbing systems, to include standard repair for leaking fixtures, cleaning of obstructed wastes lines, installing water coolers, and/or performing non-technical modifications to plumbing and water supply systems.Perform non-technical maintenance tasks for HVAC-R systems and supports technical tasks as needed.Provide support for company events, to include but not be limited to conference room meeting set-up, company events, and general facilities maintenance as required.Must demonstrate Blue Diamond core values.Ability to communicate and escalate as necessary to management.Must follow all Blue Diamond Safety and Food Safety policies and procedures. (i.e., Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMPs), LOTO, Hot Work Permit, etc.).Other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS Minimum level of education required. High School Diploma or GED Minimum number of year(s) of experience required in addition to education plus type(s) of functional experience.3 years of Facilities Maintenance, construction, or similar field Other required type(s) of functional experience (e.g., Production/Operations, Accounting, Forklift Operator, Inventory Control, etc.)Position may require performing duties alone or as a group.Positive communication skills are essential.Possess aptitude for measurements and calculations.Must be able to work with a variety of hand tools and power tools. Works under general supervision and receives instructions from Manager or Team Lead.The position may require the ability to meet the physical demands of heavy lifting to carry out the assigned duties.Position may require employee to work around energized equipment and is exposed daily to hazardous materials (i.e.: Paint, Thinners, Epoxies, Lead Paint, etc.).Total minimum number of years of experience required in lieu of degree (if applicable)N/AOther job requirements (e.g., certifications/licenses, CPG experience, work overtime/weekends, etc.)May be required to attend outside training seminars.
