The Facilities Technician will facilitate the maintenance of our Fenton Facilities. They will
manage building upkeep and repairs both indoor and outside of the buildings.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- General maintenance: Minor repairs to furniture, appliances, and facility related equipment.
- Plumbing repairs: fixtures, water leaks, supply plumbing and drain repairs.
- Electrical: basic knowledge of electricity (for safety and problem solving), repair/replace light fixtures, plugs, switches, and minor equipment diagnoses and repair.
- Grounds: trash pick-up, weeding, supplemental salting, and snow removal.
- Barn: driveway maintenance, weed control and brush hog operation.
- Carpentry: basic knowledge of hand tools, tape measure usage, installing door hardware, mounting fixtures, drywall repair, caulking and repairs made to wood and metal.
- HVAC: knowledge is preferred but not a requirement. The candidate will be changing filters, belts, cleaning, and minor maintenance.
- The ideal candidate should possess a mechanical ability as well as an element of common sense.
- Property/building maintenance requires work to be performed outdoors and indoors all year.
- Liaison for vendors when accessing the building for scheduled services and assist with unloading deliveries.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 years' experience in building maintenance or equivalent.
- Preventative maintenance experience and ability to operate small machinery (i.e., lawn mower).
- Ability to identify hazards and report unsafe conditions.
- Ability to effectively communicate through varied sources (in-person and MS Office).
- Ability to work independently.

Physical Requirements
- Manual dexterity, ability to communicate, lifting, kneeling, squatting, climbing, turning/twisting, balancing, reaching, and handling with varying frequencies. Occasional lifting and carrying objects up to 75 pounds, Frequent lifting and carrying, pushing, or pulling objects weighing up to 50 pounds; and/or continuous lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling 10-20 pounds.
