Wausau Window and Wall Systems Job Title: Facilities/Maintenance Job Code: WPRN65 Department: Maintenance Business Unit Hired: Wausau Reports To: Maintenance/Facilities Manager FLSA Status: Non-exempt Revision Date: October 2023 POSITION SUMMARY This position is responsible for maintaining the appearance of buildings and grounds including both internal and external general maintenance duties. This position will be responsible for supporting all Wausau facilities, to include WMC and SMC. POSITION DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain an awareness of building and grounds appearance/condition to help maintain company property and keep supervisor informed of any change in conditions that may need attention
- Maintain exterior of plants to include yard maintenance (cut grass, landscape maintenance, pick up debris, shovel snow, salt walks, etc.) During snow season, may be required to report to work an hour before the start of shift for snow removal.
- Perform, to the best of your ability, carpentry, mechanical or cleanup jobs which are assigned. This will include keeping fixtures and plumbing in work order
- Complete needed repairs to floors, sidewalk, and parking lots
- Assist in cleaning the interior of plants to include carpet cleaning, painting, changing light bulbs, washing windows, small repairs, operating the floor scrubbers, etc.
- Help maintenance personnel in their duties as requested
- Cleans work area, tools, and equipment
- Repair carts and skids as needed
- Keep trash dumped into compactor on a regular basis and empty recyclables
- Maintain a clean and well organized maintenance shop and parts storage area
- Adhere to established policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Support Six Sigma/Lean and the continuous improvement process

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS High School Diploma preferred and must hold a valid driver's license. Experience working in a maintenance environment using mechanical skills.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS - Efficient use of hand and power hand tools, metal fabrication equipment and possess basic carpentry skills
- Ability to operate lawn equipment
- Forklift Certification (must be obtained internally)
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
- Communicate effectively in a verbal and a written manner
- Computer software proficiency in the following:

- Self-starter who works well independently, quickly and accurately
- Flexible and willing to shift priorities, Wausau and Stratford facilities as needed
- Willing and able to work overtime and weekends as needed, including earlier start times for snow removal in the winter months
- Required to work on roofs and man lifts up to 40 feet in height as needed
WORK ENVIRONMENT The associate is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The associate is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places, confined spaces, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. Role may include exposure to dust, fumes, odor, vibration, and moving machinery.

Distances and Heights: Worker may be working throughout entire facility or one section. Job tasks may include usage of ladders up to 8 feet high.
