We'll never stop reinventing ourselves to meet our customers' evolving needs - because we know that our work, delivering 100% fiber optic internet, truly changes people's lives.Essential FunctionsOversees cleaning vendors for general housekeeping and maintenance.Performs small maintenance repairs in assigned locations, which includes changing light bulbs, minor plumbing and electrical repairs, minor office system and equipment repairs, hanging whiteboards in offices and assembling office furniture items, as needed.Ensures all trash is properly removed from assigned locations.Reports and resolves any obvious building/equipment repairs; identifies problems (such as light bulb replacement, lock adjustment, carpet repair, broken glass, holes in walls, ceiling tile replacement, tripping hazards, etc.).Provides general courier services including mail and supply pickup and delivery.Performs general maintenance to the exterior of assigned buildings and surrounding landscape for aesthetics and safety.Oversees landscaping vendors for assigned locations.Provides preventive maintenance of facility and office equipment.Works with vendors/contractors to develop project scope.Assists with Special Projects/Inspections and escorts vendors at various locations.Inspects fire extinguishers and sprinkler control valves as mandated at assigned buildings.Works with the Safety Team to monitor/refill first aid kits at assigned buildings.Oversees snow removal vendors and assists as needed between services such as salting sidewalks.Pool Vehicles:Ensures vehicles are clean inside and out.Coordinates routine maintenance and inspections.Transports vehicles as needed.Other duties as required.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities RequiredSolid organizational skills.Ability to understand mechanical terminology.Experience performing small mechanical, plumbing, electrical repairs and carpentry work.Ability to organize and schedule varied work activities, while adapting to changes in assignments.Basic MS Office Skills (Word, Outlook, Excel, and Project).Other Experience & Requirements1-3 years' relevant work experience.High school diploma or equivalent required; Trade School achievement preferred.Fiber or Telecom industry experience preferred.Physical RequirementsAbility to safely lift 50-100lbs. and transport up to 50ft.Experienced ability to safely operate power tools, equipment, and hand tools.Ability to safely perform all duties in compliance with MSDS guidelines for the use of products, chemicals, and the proper use of safety equipment provided by the Company.Our commitment to communities includes recruiting and rewarding the Lumos team members who are working together to build a brighter tomorrow.We have:Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage.Competitive compensation packages, including bonus options for eligible positions.Paid Time Off and 12 Paid Holidays / Personal Days.Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs).100% employer-paid life and disability insurance.Employee Assistance Program (EAP) with access to professional support for life's challenges.401K plan w/ up to 5% employer contribution and a self-directed brokerage option.Wellness program offering education and cash incentives for gym attendance and nutrition programs.Discounts on Lumos Fiber Internet for employees who live in our service areas.At Lumos we recruit, hire, employ, train, promote, and compensate individuals based on job-related qualifications and abilities.
