Facilities Technician ACCOUNTABILITY STATEMENT The Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for conducting a broad range of maintenance, repair and replacement tasks and assignments at branch facilities, the corporate headquarters, the service center, ancillary facilities and stand-alone automated teller machines (ATMs). Work includes routine maintenance and repair of electrical, HVAC, plumbing and restroom fixtures and landscape irrigation systems; carpentry, painting and the support of company promotional events and programs. More complex projects are frequently undertaken requiring a professional, licensed electrician and/or trade skill, including mechanical and carpentry disciplines. The position serves as a liaison with outside vendors on repairs and maintenance of buildings and ATMs and other property as needed. Responsible for ensuring all grounds are well landscaped, maintained and safe for members and employees. Requires interfacing with all levels of management throughout the company.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Repair lighting systems by replacing ballasts, switches, sensors and bulbs, rearranging light fixtures and ensuring electrical circuits are functional and safe.
- Repair wall, floor and power pole electrical outlets, circuits and wiring.
- Repair plumbing systems and fixtures, including commodes, urinals, sinks, faucets and drain lines. Identify, isolate and terminate leaks and drain and line blockages.
- Repair floor covering, both carpet and tile, including damage and breaks or tears that represent safety hazards to employees and members.
- Repair and/or paint walls to maintain professional appearance of facilities.
- Perform trouble shooting of Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) system problems and either effect repairs or coordinate with contractors to isolate problems and make appropriate repairs.
- Inspect janitorial and landscaping services at all facilities to ensure they are being completed to company standards.
- Maintain storage facilities and ensure interior and exterior of buildings are orderly, clean and safe.
- Perform various small appliance repairs involving ovens, refrigerators, microwave ovens and disposal equipment.
- Provide marketing and branding support by changing sign message reader boards, hanging banners and flags and installing promotional materials.
- Assist with conference room meeting set-ups and promotional and marketing events as requested.
- Assist in the maintenance of facility/ATM grounds (landscaping), parking areas and branch and campus exteriors by tracking, scheduling and monitoring the work performed by contractors. This position also performs some of the maintenance.
- Assists in the installation, maintenance, repair, cleaning and lighting of all company signage, including temporary signage by tracking, scheduling and monitoring the work of contractors or vendors. This position also performs some of the maintenance, repair, cleaning and lighting.
- Maintain parking lot lighting to ensure proper illumination.
- Maintain, transport, mobilize and demobilize temporary generators, as needed.
- Based upon skills and experience may assist in branch and other construction projects as needed.
- Maintain ATMs in good operational order and appearance. Change light bulbs, clean ATMs and ATM buildings and surrounding areas as needed. Perform minor building repairs and replenish supplies as necessary.
- Maintain ATM lighting and landscaping in compliance with applicable Florida statutes.
- Clean drive-thru teller equipment and complete repairs as needed.
- Assist in the transportation, mobilization and demobilization of mobile ATM devices as needed.
- Based upon skills and experience may assist in ATM installations and relocations as needed.
- Provide timely documentation for all maintenance visits for facilities and ATMs and provide written recommendations for capital expenditures and large operating cash outlays.
- Operate and maintain company vehicles in compliance with Vehicle Maintenance Program and company Safe Driver Program. Routinely clean company vehicles.
- Work with Facilities Manager to schedule and complete all recurring preventive maintenance, equipment tests and inspections as needed.
- Incumbent is part of a 24-hour emergency maintenance response service, on call after hours and on rotating weekend schedule. Must be available within two hours after receiving notification.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Occasionally assist the Supply Department to receive, document, store and deliver materials and supplies. Periodically assist in the retrieval of materials from storage to fill department and
branch requisitions for office supplies, forms and paper products. Periodically assist in the cleaning of supply storage facilities.
JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Requires a minimum of seven (7) years' experience in all phases of commercial facilities maintenance, including repair knowledge of electrical, plumbing and HVAC, as well as carpentry and general mechanical systems.
- Requires knowledge and practical application and use of electric test equipment and powered and manual tools of all types.
- Solid verbal and written communication skills.
- High level of dependability/responsibility required.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Must be detail and customer service oriented and be professional.
- Experience in dealing with vendors and sales personnel is preferred.
- A current Florida Driver's License and satisfactory (safe) driving record is required. Experience in towing large trailers up to 8,000 lbs.
- Must demonstrate proficiency with light power and hand tools, dexterity to climb ladders, lift, stack, move and handle loads up to 50-60 pounds, including the ability to work overhead and place/retrieve materials from different shelving configurations.
- This position is expected to work in changing environments and to travel to other credit union facilities on a consistent basis.
- Requires a valid CDL Class B with airbrakes license. This position is expected to carry a current medical examiners certificate at all times and keep current every two years and report any changes in health per Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Regulations.
- Follow all maintaining requirements that can be found through the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulation and the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles.
EDUCATION
Completion of high school or general education degree (GED) is required; a certificate of vocational/technical training at a trade school or skill center is required. Facility maintenance experience may offset trade school requirement.
Certifications and/or training in electrical, plumbing, HVAC preferred.
