New Journey, a Genesis10 company, is seeking a Maintenance Facilities Technician for a 3-month Contract position with the potential for extension or conversion. Compensation: $37.00 per hourSummary: The main function of a Facilities Technician is to provide general maintenance support for the assigned buildings. This individual must have a thorough understanding of all aspects of building operations, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance.Job Responsibilities: Handyman type workGeneral contractingMonitor the facility to ensure that it remains safe, secure, and well-maintained.Troubleshoot power, HVAC system and controls, and mechanical systems.Maintain general & preventative maintenance, carpentry, plumbing systems, and vendor management.Replace lighting system bulbs and ballasts as needed.Move office furniture, machinery, equipment, and other materials, as requested.Skills: High school diploma or GED requiredBuilding Services Knowledge5 - 7 years of construction or building engineering related experienceHVAC license could help (not looking for electrician)General contracting experienceExperience troubleshooting power, HVAC system and controls, and mechanical systems.Basic knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance.Basic ability to work independently and manage one's time.Interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.Basic understanding of a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)Only candidates available and ready to work directly as New Journey/Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.If you have the described qualifications and are interested in this exciting opportunity, apply today!About New Journey/Genesis10:New Journey, a Genesis10 company, is a leader in staffing, providing opportunities in light industrial, finance/accounting, financial services, human resources, data, administrative, autonomous vehicles, business operations, and legal, amongst others.
