Job Summary
  • Hazard Community & Technical College is inviting applications for the open position of Facilities Worker II. This position is a 2nd shift position with a primary location will be on the Lees College Campus in Jackson. Initial review of applications to begin January 6, 2025.
Job Duties:
  • Perform grounds maintenance: mowing, weed eating, planting, snow removal, parking lot repairs.Perform general custodial duties: cleaning floors, offices, bathrooms, removal of trash.Provides HVAC monitoring/maintenance.Performs basic installation of receptacles, switches, breakers, ballast; replaces light fixtures,Perform basic power equipment repairs and upkeep. Perform basic plumbing: water fountain installations, waterline repairs, valve repairs, drain line maintenance. Perform basic carpentry: dry walling, painting, door repair, installation of partitions, and installation of ceiling and floor tiles. May be assigned to other campuses or shifts as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma/GED and one year of related experience required. Basic computer/technology skills required. Microsoft Office software knowledge preferred.
