Job DetailsJob LocationSan Antonio Food Bank - Main Building - San Antonio, TXSalary Range$18.00 Travel PercentageUp to 25%DescriptionGeneral Description:The primary objective of this position is to maintain assigned assets of the San Antonio Food Bank. Duties include janitorial, plumbing, minor electrical, event set ups, and other projects as assigned.Responsibilities:
- Maintains overall condition of the grounds, equipment, and machinery of the San Antonio Food Bank
- Assumes responsibility of the overall building maintenance and cleanliness
- Set-up, break down, and clean-up of special events and meetings
- Cleans all areas of the facility (i.e. offices, break rooms, meeting rooms, bathrooms, lobbies, etc.)
- Responds to broken or non-functioning items (i.e. plumbing, doors, windows, air conditioning, electrical, and refrigeration)
- Maintains air conditioning/refrigeration equipment by cleaning drain lines, changing filters, and washing coils
- Paint and touch up buildings inside and outside the facility, as needed
- Work with volunteers and AARP groups to assist with facility needs
- Accepts additional duties as assigned
- Scheduled hours are flexible and could include evenings and weekends
Qualifications
- High School degree or equivalent
- Previous work experience in maintenance
- Possession of a current Texas driver's license, liability insurance and a clean driving record
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
- Ability to work cooperatively with other Food Bank staff, agencies, and volunteers
- Attention to detail, proactive mentality, and task completion
- Availability to travel between various San Antonio Food Bank locations
