As the Facility Attendant, you will perform a variety of functions related to the up-keep of assigned buildings, grounds, related facilities and assigned areas, in a clean, neat and orderly manner. The Facility Attendanthas the primary responsibility for cleaning the center in such a way to promote health and safety whilereducing the spread of infection.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Follows and completes the CentroMed's daily, weekly and monthly cleaning schedule. These duties include:
- Keeps all indoor work areas free of debris and trash. Disinfects and cleans trash cans and changes bags daily. Inspects all areas of clinic frequently.
- Daily sweep all hallways, waiting areas, office floors, breakrooms and stairs.
- Cleans public and staff restrooms and disinfects to maintain at acceptable sanitary conditions.
- Daily mop floors in waiting areas, breakrooms, bathroom, office and classrooms to maintain a clean condition.
- Daily vacuums all carpets.
- Daily sweep and clear entrance walk ways.
- Maintains grounds and parking lot free of trash and debris
- Monitors the supply of cleaning products and informs Clinic Director of needed supplies.
- Keeps cleaning equipment and storage areas orderly and in compliance with safety standards.
Reports the following to the Clinic Director, or designated staff person:
- Presence of animals, vermin or insects in the building.
- Water leaks, and other maintenance needs, i.e. light bulb replacement
- All other health and safety hazards noticed.
- Participates in emergency drills and environmental safety activities, as requested.
- Attends and participates in CentroMed's pre-service and in-service trainings.
- Must comply with OSHA regulations in wearing personal protective equipment (Nitrile latex gloves, mask, and/or gowns) and work Practice Control in not eating, drinking, or applying makeup in Utility Rooms.
- Performs other duties as specified in the job description addendum or as assigned

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position.

RequirementsQUALIFICATIONS:Education: High School Diploma or equivalentBasic knowledge of general custodian practices and floor care. General understanding of safety procedures for working with dust, chemicals and other related hazards. Must know proper lifting techniques.Experience: Minimum of one year experience as a custodian
