Facility Cleaner - 1st Shift - Asheville - $18.00PrideStaff is recruiting for a Custodian for 1st Shift for a manufacturing company located in Asheville. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.
- Clean inside of clean rooms, which requires gowning up.
- Gather and empty trash.
- Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
- Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
- Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
- Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.
- Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
- Steam-clean or shampoo carpets.
- Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors.
- Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Good knowledge of janitorial activities and related cleaning equipment and materials
- Knowledge of all established workplace safety and security procedures
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop for 8-hour shift
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
- Must be able perform repetitive motion for extensive amount of time
