The qualified individual must be highly motivated with the skills to prioritize, perform, and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment.ERG's Facilities Planning and Engineering team is seeking design professionals, construction professionals, engineers, or architects with experience managing facilities projects, such as interior or exterior building renovations, building repairs (e.g., roof or HVAC replacement), and modifications or repairs to utilities and infrastructure. These will be full-time, onsite positions that will involve working closely with program/construction management teams to support the full life cycle of projects from initial concept design through construction completion and commissioning. The majority of work occurs during regular business hours as this is a liaison position - i.e., the position does not require direct supervision of construction trades. The successful candidate will be joining our growing team of professionals who focus on quality work and fostering collaborative, long-term relationships with our clients and within our team.These positions will be full time at the federal site in Indian Head, MD, and will include interaction and support from ERG personnel at the federal site, as well as from ERG's Chantilly and Arlington offices. Indian Head is approximately 30 miles from Washington, DC, 25 miles from Alexandria, VA, and 60 miles from Fredericksburg, VA. Alternative work schedules may be considered.Job Description:Support project planning and proposal effortsTrack schedule and status of ongoing construction projectsDevelop cost estimates for projects and update them with actual costs throughout the projectConduct site visits to document existing conditions, develop new requirements, and create preliminary scopes and cost estimatesPerform design reviews for facility improvement projects provided by third-party design firmsManage the design review process, including coordination with project stakeholders such as the facility operator/owner, security, human resources, and safetyReview project submittalsQualifications and Skills:Bachelor's degree (minimum GPA of 3.0)At least 5 years of relevant experiencePreferred Construction Quality Control Management certificateStrong project management skills and ability to manage an active portfolio of projectsDemonstrated ability to collaborate/communicate effectively with internal/external stakeholdersExcellent verbal/written communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making skillsExperience with design-build, engineering-procurement-construction, and design-bid-build types of construction projectsExperience with vertical new construction, building renovation, and civil/site infrastructure construction projectsExperience with construction building codes and permitting processesExpertise with at least one of the following, but preferably all: HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electricalMust currently hold or be able to obtain a Department of Defense Secret-level security clearance; Must be a U.S. citizen as this position is not eligible for Limited Access Authorizations$80,000 - $150,000 a yearERG offers competitive salaries and excellent benefits, including health and dental insurance, life insurance, long-term disability, educational benefits, FSAs, a generous 401k plan, profit sharing, an EAP, 11-20 paid vacation days per year, 10 paid holidays per year, 56 hours or more of sick leave (based on the state you work in) per year (pro-rated for part-time) and more.
