As our Facility Coordinator, you will serve as an ambassador of SouthLight's values and contribute to the oversight of a safe recovery environment.

This position is designed to maximize the service, response and communication to our clients, staff and visitors while ensuring the respect and dignity of all who visit the property.

As our Facility Coordinator, you will be the point of contact to disseminate information across the site and programs in case of a crisis. You will also have the opportunity to participate on committees to help create systems that foster a safe and welcoming atmosphere.

Pay

Starting pay is $19.00 per hour.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday - Friday 5am - 1pm.

Full-time employees are eligible for medical benefits the first of the month 30 days after hire date. Options for a standard plan and an HSA plan with a $300 initial contribution and up to a $25 per paycheck match. 10 paid holidays and PTO hours which accrue at a rate of 10 hours per month. After 6 months employees are eligible to enroll in our 401(k) plan which has a 4% match. Company paid life insurance, short and long term disability, in house and paid training opportunities, and additional pay for working holidays. SouthLight provides mileage reimbursement.

Job Responsibilities of a Facility Coordinator

  • Contributes to the oversight of a safe recovery environment
  • Inspects and secures the building, grounds and parking lot
  • Conducts internal and external rounds every 30 minutes
  • Checks all entrances and exits
  • Reports if anything looks out of place
  • Observes behavior of people
  • Watches for emergencies
  • Ensures staff and visitors are easily identifiable
  • Collaborates with key staff when communicating via walkie talkies, Teams, email, etc.
  • Opens and closes the building each day (turns on/off alarms, turns on/off lights, etc.)
  • Monitors internal and external security cameras
  • Collaborates with clinical staff to support situation de-escalation during an event and oversees emergency response
  • Ensures that packages are delivered to the appropriate areas of the facility
  • Performs monthly, quarterly and annual alarm drills and safety inspections
  • Acts as Safety Marshall and conducts with Safety Checklists with staff

Qualifications of a Facility Coordinator

Educational and Experience

  • HS diploma or GED equivalent
  • At least 18 yo
  • Min 2 years of crisis and de-escalation experience within the adult MH/SU population in a community setting
  • Mental health/substance use/security experience can be substituted for certification
  • Certification in CPR, First Aid, Blood borne Pathogens training, and ADA
  • CPI certification completion required within 30 days of onboarding

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to set clear boundaries
  • Comfortable working with clients or groups of people in a culturally sensitive manner
  • Microsoft Office Suite + ability to learn other technological recording methods e., EMRs/EHRs
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to frequent change in workflow based on need and service structure
  • Frequent periods of standing and/or walking for extended amounts of time
  • HIPPA and Behavioral Health specific confidentiality and privacy rights
  • Crisis de-escalation skills
  • Ability to interact effectively with persons of widely diverse roles, backgrounds, cultures, and socio-economic classes, those in crises or resistant or negative toward organization
