Allison Sports Town Complex is an indoor/outdoor venue that spans 82 acres, nestled near Deer Lake Golf Club. Our premier sports complex offers 12 outdoor professionally maintained sports fields, including 4 turf fields that allow for all weather play. A 94,000 sq. ft. indoor facility is home to four high school regulation basketball courts as well as two indoor soccer fields Indoor and outdoor concessions are available as well as spaces for parties and meetings in our versatile indoor venue.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Facility and Grounds Manager will be responsible for maintenance, repairs, professional services, stock control, supply orders, routine custodial, grounds and equipment for the facility. The Facility and Grounds Manager will also ensure a suitable working environment for the organization and provide appropriate reporting, performance measurements, budgeting, and leadership.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
* Ensure facility and grounds meet health and safety requirements including OSHA
* Enforce all governmental and company safety & risk management guidelines, train staff accordingly
* Maintain systems for facility including but not limited to fire, security, HVAC, electrical and suppression
* Work with proper officials for inspections to equipment/playing surfaces throughout the venue
* Ensure facility and grounds are properly prepared and checked for all safety issues prior to use
* Ensure fields and courts are playable
* Maintain equipment inventory, maintenance logs, ongoing maintenance and keep machinery operational
* Maintain positive vendor and service provider relationships to ensure beneficial results
* Develop and maintain positive relationships with off-site facility liaisons to ensure continued use privileges
* Monitor overall appearance and cleanliness of the building and turf fields
* Coordinate maintenance and repair work with managers and contractors to avoid conflicts and maximize usage of facilities
* Operate and maintain sports equipment
* Maintenance and repair of turf fields, soccer goals, lacrosse goals, basketball goals, volleyball nets, and event floor
* Conduct ongoing research and continuing education for regulation changes, new safety guidelines and new facility and turf technology
* Responsible for facility evacuation plan and training
* Responsible for developing maintenance budget, forecasting costs and long-term capital investment plan
* Hire, train, schedule and supervise janitorial and facility/grounds staff
* Various other activities as required by management
* Must be available to work occasional nights and weekends.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
* Understand and follow both oral and written instructions
* Work independently with minimal supervision
* Excellent interpersonal, management, negotiating and problem-solving skills
* Must be available to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, holidays and be on-call for emergencies
* Must be able to obtain CPR/First Aid Training and be competent in blood borne pathogen training
* Effective time management skills
* Prior experience with maintenance equipment procedures and safety guidelines
* Computer skills including Word, Power Point, Excel and Outlook
* Must be results and solutions driven
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
* Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
* Must be willing to work outside long periods of time
* Work with paint, cleaning equipment, chemical compounds, solvents, cleaners, and solutions in dry, liquid, powder, spray, and aerosol forms
* Ability to paint, clean equipment, and operate motorized equipment as needed
* Work in conditions that will create dirt and dust
* Perform essential maintenance to facility or equipment which may involve, but not limited to the following activities: semi-reaching to full-reach overhead; crouching; kneeling; shoveling; working in narrow and/or confining spaces: underground, overhead, and at ground level; twisting of the waist, shoulders, and legs; and lying on stomach and/or back
