The Facility Inpatient Support reports to the Manager-Security and is responsible for the transportation and observation of patients. Provides transports to patients being discharged and to non-medical patients to and from units, procedures and as delegated by the RN. Provides close or continuous visual and auditory observation to assigned patients to the level determined by the RN in order to promote safety and to ensure the patient does not harm self and/or others.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Completion of Sophomore year (grade 10) of High School. Experience: NA Licensure/Certification/Registration: BLS Certification with a designation of either BLS Provider or Healthcare Provider from either the American Heart Association or American Red Cross or Military Training Network within ninety (90) days of hire into position.

Ability to communicate effectively and to work independently and to initiate a helpful interaction with others, including visitors entering the building. Knowledge of basic mathematical computation; legible printing and/or handwriting. Ability to assemble and disassemble equipment and instrumentation; to comprehend and follow complex verbal and written instructions; to observe and report anything that varies form normal and expected.
READING - Basic: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
WRITING - Basic: Ability to write simple correspondence.
SPEAKING - Basic: Ability to speak simple sentences.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS - Basic Skills: Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
REASONING ABILITY - Basic Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional variables.
