Job DescriptionSUMMARY: This job is essentially a hands on position involving various work assignments in a fast paced environment. A person applying for this position must be willing to get their hands dirty . The person must also be willing to work in a team environment where they will be expected to think for them self, offer ideas and suggestions, develop programs to make the department better and more productive. Must be able to work without constant supervision and take the initiative when needed to see the job through. ESSENTAIL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Maintain DataStream database: enter work orders, prepare purchase orders, and track cost for equipment, building, refrigeration, and parts. Create reports through Cognos Report Writer. Train DataStream to other facilities. Stay current in DataStream/Cognos developments. 2. Order parts for equipment, check price and availability. Responsible for parts inventory and consignment inventory control to include tracking parts and restocking them. Parts are ordered by phone, fax, or Internet. Continually checking prices on parts with current and new vendors to ensure the best cost and quality. 3. Voucher bills for maintenance department in Access database and in Concur with P-Card. Track expenses and prepare weekly, period end, and year to date budget reports. 4. Conducts research, compiles, and develops statistical reports. 5. Organizes and maintains file system and files correspondence and other records. 6. Types routine correspondence and makes copies of correspondence or other printed materials. Prepares outgoing mail and correspondence. Develop and keep current Standard Operating Procedures. 7. Member of HAZMAT team for facility. 8. Schedule Preventive Maintenance work with outside contractors. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Any combination of education, training and experience providing the following knowledge, skills, and abilities. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Extensive knowledge of Excel, Word, and Access is required. Knowledgeable in accounting practices. Must be able to use 10-key by touch and type. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exits. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Show technical abilities and desire to learn processes of Maintenance Department, i.e. Ammonia Refrigeration, MHE repairs, etc. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must possess a valid Missouri Class E Chauffeur license. Will need to acquire HAZMAT certification. Keep certification up to date 8, 24, and 40 hour Technician level. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Perform bending, squatting, and reaching from floor level to six feet in height. Must be able to lift up to ten pounds and be able to walk up to two miles. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak and make presentations effectively before groups of customers, employees, and corporate. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs. WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Indoors with adequate cooling, heating, and lighting. Outdoors as needed.
