Join us at MacLean-Fogg as we build on our legacy of excellence and shape the future of manufacturing.Job SummaryFacilitates and performs duties to maintain grounds, building and building equipment, including all aspects of operating systems.Job DutiesMaintain operating systems and facilityMaintain spare parts inventory, order items as necessary in daily operations and acquire non-inventory itemsReport defective equipment and recommend the replacement of obsolete or damaged equipment when estimates of repair cost are excessiveLead the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical, gas, air and water installations along with sewers, fire sprinklers and alarm systemsWork with outside contractors/vendors on building constructionPlan, layout and assign work, often including the diagnosis and remedy of difficult problemsExpedite building and equipment repairs in construction to avoid production delaysComplete all necessary documents fully and accurately, including monitoring preventive maintenance program and updating documentation accordingly as necessaryAdhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and proceduresPerform other duties as assignedExperience and EducationPerform work under minimal supervisionHandle complex issues and problems and refer only the most complex issues to higher-level staffPossess comprehensive working knowledge of subject matter, which includes applications, mechanics, electricity and plumbingTypically require accreditation from a technical school or applicable skilled trades program preferred; at least 3 years of experience, including experience driving powered industrial equipmentProvide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate groupPowered industrial equipment certification preferredCompetencies/ SkillsAbility to interpret work instructions, including sketches, blueprints, electrical schematics, manuals and other reference materialsAbility to follow written and verbal directionsIntermediate verbal and written communication skillsIntermediate mathematical skillsIntermediate use of required gaging instruments and the application of such instrumentsAbility to use personal and mainframe (EMS) computer programs, including preventive maintenance programProblem/situation analysisDetail orientedManual dexterityLeadership skillsAbility to work as part of a teamDecision-making skillsGood interpersonal skillsEOE-Minority/Female/Disability/VeteranVarious agencies of the United States Government require employers to maintain information on applicants pertaining to factors such as race, sex, and type of position for which an individual applies.
