Job Posting InformationPosting Number: PG194366SPWorking Title: Facility Maintenance SupervisorAnticipated Hiring Range: Commensurate with Experience ($55,448 - $61,391)Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (can vary according to duties or on-call responsibilities, some weekend work will be required)Job Location: Columbia, NCDepartment: 4-H Youth Development DepartmentAbout the Department: All North Carolina 4-H Camps are managed and operated under the North Carolina Cooperative Extension Service through the College of Agriculture & Life Sciences (CALS) at North Carolina State University. The department provides leadership and program support to field faculty in all 100 counties, involving over 200,000 youth and 25,000 volunteers.Position Overview: The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor oversees and conducts repairs and improvements to facilities, vehicles, equipment, and other infrastructure at the Eastern 4-H Center. This position formulates and implements a comprehensive preventative maintenance plan for all buildings and assets of the Center and supervises the temporary housekeeper and groundskeeper, seasonal, and year-round staff in their daily duties of cleaning and landscaping.Other Responsibilities:Assist in maintaining cleanliness of the buildings and facilities.Assist with the Center's user groups by providing event set-up of all facilities.Complete or schedule all weekly, monthly, bi-annual, and annual inspections of various systems around the center.Complete all administrative paperwork necessary for assigned work tasks.QualificationsMinimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalency and two years of experience in the trade areas assigned; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.Other Required Qualifications:Experience repairing facilities, vehicles, and equipment.Ability to work independently and as a team player.Preferred Qualifications:Ability to do carpentry, mechanical work, electrical oversight, and knowledge of all areas needed to run a camp.Required Licenses or Certifications:Level 1 Wastewater Operator Licenses or the ability to obtain within 3 - 6 months of start.Valid NC Driver's License or the ability to obtain within 60 days of start.Pool Operators Certification or the ability to obtain within 3 - 6 months of start.Pesticides Certification or the ability to obtain within 3 - 6 months of start.Recruitment Dates:Job Open Date: 11/25/2024Earliest Close Date: 12/03/2024Notice to Applicants: Please ensure that the work history you list on your application is identical to the work history listed on your resume.
